Valerie Collins Ministry

Minister Valerie Collins is no stranger to working diligently for the Kingdom of God. Before her introduction into full-time ministry, she earned a medical secretary certificate in 1989, which she utilized throughout the years to become a full-time deputy clerk at The Glynn County Court House. As time went on, she transitioned to a medical secretary role at Southeast Georgia Regional Health Systems, working in Oncology for many years. This experience motivated her to return to school, where she obtained her Associate’s degree from AIU in Business Administration.

Later, Valerie and her daughter relocated to Charleston, South Carolina, where she accepted a position at MUSC, specifically at the oncology center. It was through divine intervention and the guidance of the Holy Spirit that she found her way to Flowers Ministries Inc. (FMI), under the leadership of Pastor Tonya Holmes (now Dr. Holmes) at New Life Christian Center. In 2014, during a challenging time, Valerie and her daughter entered FMI’s homeless program, known as the Shepherd Mission House, where she experienced healing through the Ministry. It was during her time at Flowers Ministries that the Lord called her to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In January 2015, she was officially licensed to spread the Good News. Valerie believes that God led her to Flowers Ministries, Inc., and in December 2015, she was directed by the Holy Spirit to resign from her secular job and fully embrace ministry work.

Currently, Valerie faithfully serves as an administrator for Flowers Ministries, Inc., a federally recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization. She is also involved in FMI Biblical Studies and Seminary, which provides biblically-based certificates and degrees. Through Flowers Ministries Inc., she was empowered to establish her own ministry, The Destiny Place, which targets individuals who have suffered from domestic violence, both male and female. In 2020, she earned her Bachelor’s in Christian Counseling and later achieved her Master of Christian Counseling degree from FMI Biblical Studies and Seminary in 2022.

The Scripture she lives by is Philippians 4:13, which states, 'I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me' (KJV).
